Blueberry Festival

Headed south Friday after work to spend a night at the Alyeska Resort.  Enjoyed swimming at the pool (and the hot tub is hereby nominated to the All Hot Tub team), and just relaxing in our room before heading out on Saturday for the blueberry festival!  We went hiking on the Winner Creek Trail that begins right from the hotel, and instantly takes you through a beautiful rain forest.  We found a geocache on the way, and then returned to the resort for the blueberry festival.  Austin tried his hand with a fly rod, and is probably already better at casting than his old man.  Next we tried several different blueberry concoctions and enjoyed live music before taking the chairlift up the mountain to do some of our own blueberry picking.  Everyone enjoyed themselves (except Gunnar who was mostly naughty), but Lochlin especially appeared to catch blueberry fever.  We had a wonderful time and hope to return to Alyeska again soon.
