Went down to Seward for a few days and stayed in a townhouse at the Seward Military Resort (
http://www.sewardresort.com/). It rained a lot, but we still managed to make it out on a glacier/wildlife cruise with Kenai Fjords (
http://www.kenaifjords.com/) where we did the National Park Tour. Our apologies to any tourists who wanted to buy Dramamine for the trip, but I think Grandma cleaned out the majority of the supply in the state and enjoyed most of the cruise slightly comatose. Grandpa on the other hand was like a little kid in a candy store as we saw a calving glacier and all kinds of wildlife, including Steller Sea Lions, Harbor Seals, a Mountain Goat, a Black Bear, Humpback Whales, Sea Otters, and Orcas! Thanks to Grandpa, we were also able to add the following birds to our life lists: Horned Puffin, Tufted Puffin, Spectacled Eider, Common Murre, Thick-billed Murre, Red-faced Cormorant, Pelagic Cormorant, Ancient Murrelet, Rhinocerous Auklet, Parakeet Auklet, Cassin's Auklet, Kittlitz's Murrelet, Pigeon Guillemot, and Least Auklet! Thank you Shayla for sharing your photos!
